PEDS Weapons 2: The CCWS MK3

The Paranormal Encounter Division Squad- Short PEDS, is something of an American Hellsing, which fights undead with 22st century weapons and armor. And of course, Silver.
In some situations though, the OICW isn`t enough. In other words, crowd control. If you face a large number of ghouls, shotguns always dominate over rifles.

This is why the CCWS, or Close Combat Weapon System, was invented.
While it looks like a regular shotgun at first sight, its far from it in any way. The barrel is flipped down by pressing the switch on the side, allowing to be fed with caseless shotshells of various loads.
The flash hider, Ammo clamp and front grip are standard equipment, while the sighting system is rather unususal, since the weapon is meant for close to medium range.
But lets talk about the ammo.

As for the shells, there`s the regular shotshell. It fires a plastic projectile, which breaks apart in the air and gives off the deadly shot, flying towards the enemy.
Then, there is a full steel projectile of the same caliber (Which looks like a flechette), used for armor pieceing and higher distances, sort of like a shotgun slug.
There`s also a version of this slug with an explosive warhead, for use against vehicles.
But the most interesting of them all is the Napalm round. It doesn`t have a projectile, but instead is filled with solid Napalm, enclosed in propellant. When fired, this gives off a flame sort of like a flamethrower, but only for a brief moment. Its also called the Scarer, because it looks sort of scary when a huge flame suddenly flies at you.

All in all, this is a handy tool for some situations. A foldable shoulder stock is currently developed.
