PEDS Prototype: Colt M20 A

This has been decided to be adopted by the PEDS as a new main handgun, after serveral experiments with the LHWS and SPDW.

While it looks very conventional at first, the M20 A Tactical Pistol is more than it meets the eye. Under its thick Titanium case, there`s a traditional ignition, but with caseless ammo being fed through the magazine.
This ammo, the .45 Jet round, is basically an upscaled and modifed .44 Jet and looks much like its ancestor, the .45 ACP.
However, due the "Jet" effect where the gas behind the bullet is fed with cold, fresh air through a little hole in the bullet, its velocity and thus penetration is highly increased without haveing more recoil.
The bullet itself is a jacketed hollow body with various types of liquids stored inside. For instance, nerve poison for non-lethal rounds, extra fuel for high distance rounds, nitroglycerin for explosive rounds and full-steel rounds for armor-pierceing jobs.
The ironsight is exchangeable for various distances, it can be fitted with a small reflex scope as well. Mounted under the barrel, in font of the trigger, is a flashlight-laser combo device. A laser in the middle,with six bright LEDs clustered around it.

One might ask, why the sudden change to traditional firearms after haveing takedown designs with selective fire, lethality handguns and even thermal heat detectors for safe fireing? Well, PEDS needed a workable handgun, fast, and sometimes, conservative thinkers have the better cards in this. Undoubtly, it was a good move in this case, as well.

The Colt M20 A Tactical Pistol has been adopted by PEDS as the OHWS A3. (However, most soldiers still call it "the Colt".)
