My newest avanced weapon drawing. Its still in prototype stage and things can change.

In order to make a lighter and more portable version of the OICW, Army officials suggested to make a lightweight, bullpup loaded rifle with a single shot grenade launcher that has the same capabilites as the actual OICW. Shotshells from the Trench gun of the OICW must be compatible and it should still fit into the system via uplink.

The result was a weapon both inspired by the FAMAS as well as the AUG, that used components from both the rifles at the same time. Its polymer magazine holds 30 rounds of the 6,8mm darted projetile/discarding sabot rounds the last version of the OICW (not on DA) used.
The operation is simple.
Its an integrated Metal Storm type of weapon, useing eletric charges to ignite the caseless munition. For this purpose, a heavy duty rechargable battery is clipped onto the side.
The breech is operated by a motor and charges three rounds at once, makeing lethal bursts possible.
That also increaseds the maximum capacity to 33 rounds with loaded breech, and eliminates the need of a charging handle, thus drastically decreaseing the reload times.
In front of the muzzle, inside the gun body is a counter-recoil device, taken from the AK 103.
The magazine button in front of the slot is borrowed from the FN 2000 rifle, the bipod is from the original OICW, same as the digital camera underneath the muzzle, used for aiming the gun.
The front grip can be swung out and used as a tactical front grip.

Lets also not forget the grenade launcher, on top of it.
The GL is also of Metal Storm type, and fed off the same battery as the rifle. Its a single shot breech loader, its design heavyly inspired by the AG 36, the barrel being swung out to the side for reloading. However, its much longer, although smaller than its ancestor.
20mm Grenades are fired through the 25cm barrel the same as shotshells and slugs. The ladder sight integrated into the gun body is used for short ranges and as a ironsight for the gun itself.
The second fireselector in front of the trigger is used to load and programm the grenade launcher.

Finally, the last component, the sight. Its a simple monitor with a small computer to calculate the data of the other components, such as the loaded state of the grenade launcher or the ammo inside the rifle itself. It also shows a crosshair and whats in front of the muzzle, thanks to the digital camera. That makes it possible to aim and shoot accurately around corners or through tight spots.
Infrared and laser distinction of targets is still in debate, as it would increase the size of the monitor.
The monitor itself is located directly behind the breech of the grenade launcher, right in front of the sniper`s eye.
